Tafadzwa Sekeso
Regional Project Manager
Tafadzwa Sekeso is the Regional Coordinator for the Southern African Network of Prisons (SANOP), a regional network that brings together government representatives, prison personnel, incarcerated people, and formerly incarcerated people. SANOP advocates for improved health services in correctional settings and supports the empowerment of incarcerated and released individuals through a rights-based approach. With more than 10 years of experience in prison programming, Tafadzwa leads and coordinates strategic health and empowerment initiatives in partnership with prisons and correctional services across Southern Africa. His work focuses on health, HIV, mental health, advocacy, and the social and economic empowerment of people in contact with the prison system. Tafadzwa is currently a Ph.D. researcher in Health Economics at Maastricht University in the Netherlands. His research examines how youth-friendly health services can improve health outcomes for incarcerated youth.
