Martin Magombo is a dedicated economic governance and human rights advocate with more than 15 years of experience working in Malawi. He is the Executive Director of the Society for the Advancement of People (SOAP) in Malawi and currently serves as a Board Member of the Southern Africa Network on Prisons (SANOP), Malawi Chapter. Martin brings experience in project management, financial management, human rights, good governance, community mobilization, and sensitization. He aims to contribute to SANOP by strengthening governance and oversight, promoting transparency, accountability, and inclusivity, supporting data-driven strategic decision-making, and advancing stakeholder engagement. He has also championed programs that promote and safeguard the rights of children, adolescent girls, men, and women in rural areas of Malawi’s northern region through stakeholder engagement and strategic policy implementation. Through this work, Martin demonstrates a strong commitment to inclusive governance, rights protection, and sustainable community impact.
