Liness Jennifer Mwambanabantu is an experienced public health and corrections professional with over a decade of expertise in governance, health systems strengthening, and institutional oversight within Zambia’s public sector. She currently serves as the HIV Wellness Focal Point Person under the Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security, where she leads the coordination and implementation of health and wellness programmes across correctional and law enforcement institutions. A certified Universal Prevention Specialist in Substance Use Disorders, Liness brings specialized expertise in prevention programming, focusing on evidence-based interventions that reduce risk and strengthen protective factors among vulnerable populations. Over the past 10 years, she has been instrumental in advancing HIV and wellness initiatives, contributing to improved access to services and strengthened health outcomes within institutional settings. As Vice Secretary of SANOP Zambia, she offers strong experience in strategic governance, committee service, and programme oversight. She is known for bridging policy and practice, fostering multi-sectoral partnerships, and promoting accountability and transparency in programme implementation.
