Justine Chimangeni

Chairperson

Justin Chimangeni is a community development practitioner with over 18 years of experience advancing health, human rights, and social inclusion in Malawi. He serves as the current Board Chairperson of the Southern Africa Network of Prison Services Organizations (SANOP) Malawi Chapter. Working as the Executive Director of Grassroot Action and Support Organization (GASO), Justin has mentored 70+ grassroots organizations and led programs that support vulnerable groups, including incarcerated and formerly incarcerated persons, focusing on rehabilitation, reintegration, and access to essential services. He brings extensive expertise in program design, resource mobilization, stakeholder engagement, and policy advocacy, with a focus on building partnerships between civil society, government, and communities. Justin is committed to strengthening local systems that uphold dignity, reduce stigma, and create lasting change for marginalized groups across Malawi.
