A strategic and dynamic leader, I am a Development Specialist with over a decade of experience in integrated community development, human rights and health services. With a background of Education at undergraduate and Development Studies at post-graduate level, I bring vast experience in partner coordination, leveraging diverse capacities and resources to drive existing Government and private-sector mandate to facilitate policy implementation relating to the welfare of incarcerated persons and children in conflict with the law. Currently working for Development Aid from People to People (DAPP) Zambia as Project Grants Administrator, I have a record of accomplishment in systems strengthening in rehabilitation, reintegration, and diversion programmes. Through DAPP programmes, I have worked directly with 12 Correctional Facilities, 3 Child Approved/Rehabilitation Centers, and 8 districts with Diversion programmes for children in conflict with the law, where DAPP is a Service Provider. Performance highlights spanning my 12-year career with human-rights based projects in include: ▪ Proven reduced recidivism of formerly incarcerated persons emanating from comprehensive empowerment support and reduced stigma from family and communities; ▪ Improved adherence to TB and HIV treatment among incarcerated persons resulting from increased health system response and strengthened peer to peer support mechanisms in correctional facilities. ▪ Improved nutrition support for people on TB treatment and PLHIV Correctional Facilities through by implementing an effective inmate-led 3-tier TB model. DAPPhas been an active member of SANOP, Prisons Health Advisory Committee (PHAC), and has been instrumental in the establishment of the Reintegration Alliance for Formerly Incarcerated and Incarcerated Persons (RAFIIP); and with my election as Zambian Chapter Steering Committee of SANOP, am honored to bring this experience to SANOP. My vision for SANOP Zambia: Coordinated response systems in health, rehabilitation and reintegration services for incarcerated and formerly incarcerated persons among public and private sector stakeholders. Key strategic areas involve inclusion of incarcerated and formerly incarcerated persons in public social security benefits, adoption of community-centric health, rehabilitation and reintegration strategies to increase capacity and sustainability of interventions and increasing demand and accountability on already existing mainstream correctional facility systems and other private stakeholders implementing human-rights interventions. I believe that for any achievement, every single effort counts, and that integrity is the bedrock of trust. I have accomplished personal career goals and supported organization achievements trusting that the next person shares my passion towards human rights and development. As SANOP Zambia, we will continue to win together. Thank you
